Myst is #bossbabe company that makes all-natural equine grooming products. The business is run by founders Kelly and Rachel. With their combined experience in horse management and holistic wellness, together they made something great. The company sells a variety of products, such as dry shampoo, wound salve, coat elixir and much more. I have always been an admirer of their amazing packaging and the way they market their products. There definitely is this ‘magical’ element that always has me in wonder and anticipation. Everything in their grooming line is formulated with their own signature blend in addition to the other properties of the specific product.
“Every single Myst product contains our signature Anti-Itch Herbal Infusion, which is packed with herbal botanicals that soothe the coat, protects it from the sun, and fights the spread of bacteria.” – Myst
When I received my lineament bombs in my Cavali Club – Spring box, I was thrilled. Unfortunately, due to ongoing bad weather and my mare not permitted to be ridden until the summer; I saved them for a day of warm weather and a well deserved ride. Finally that day came, and I was so excited to watch these bombs work their magic!
This product is not available in Canada. If you are located in the United States, you can get a (4) pack for $21.00 USD or a (12) pack for $35.00 USD.
First Impression
This is the best and cutest packaging ever. Honestly, I will hold onto this bag for the rest of my life. Small, well made cloth bags are hard to find, let alone with a unicorn horn on it!

The bag contains 4 small bombs that are very well wrapped in plastic. I needed knife to open them up. There were no leaks, or dusting of the bombs anywhere in the bag. Very well sealed and that was an immediate bonus.

I personally, did not find the scent of these bombs to be very strong, which was honestly kind of refreshing. There was no overpowering fragrance, or obvious scent. It made me feel that these bombs served the purpose of your horse’s best interest. To heal and help them, not to make them smell like a garden of roses. That might sound odd, but I really liked that. I felt like it meant that the priorities and ingredients of this specific product were in what mattered most as opposed to superficial things.
The bombs came with specific instructions. 1 bomb per one gallon (approximately 4 liters or 4 quarts) of warm water. Let the bomb dissolve, then apply to the coat, remove access water and air dry. Very clear and straight forward, I appreciate that.
Fit and Feel
So as I mentioned, I saved these bombs for a day that I felt my mare really deserved a good soak. These bombs are like gold to me as they are not available in Canada. I picked a day where I went on a longer trail ride in a saddle I don’t usually ride in, and some mild soreness was indefinite.

Lets get into some of the ingredients and their healing properties. *Now just to remind you I am not a Doctor or Naturopath, I am using Google to look up these ingredients and what they do for pain.
Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) – Helps with inflammation of arthritis
Citric Acid – Found no evidence of pain relieve, but for instead essential in the formulation of bath bombs and fizzing
Magnesium Sulfate – Helps loosen stiff joints and relax muscles
Vitamin E – Helps soothe and relieve inflamed and irritated skin
Anti-Itch Herbal Infusion – Myst’s Signature blend
Peppermint Oil – Has anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties and can stimulate circulation
Arnica Oil – Relieves pain, inflammation and bruising
Spearmint Oil – Reduces stiffness and arthritis pain
Once I put it in the water, it began to fizz as you would expect a bath bomb to. It dissolved very quickly, and then I soaked my sponge into the water and applied it onto my horse back. The gallon of water was more than enough for me to do her body, and reapply several times over. I saved some for her legs as well.

I personally decided to take a curry comb and gently massage the product into her coat and skin. It does not list this step in the instructions, but that was my personal choice. When looking in the bucket, the water looks basically clear, but once worked into the skin you can see a slight white frothing, so you know it is the product working its magic.

During this bath I did notice how comfortably warm her body was to the touch once the lineament was applied. Not hot, but just warm as you would expect from applying a product to yourself. I assume she really enjoyed it because she had her eyes closed and was asleep the whole bath.
Once applied, you remove the excess water. I used my sweat scraper, and let her air dry. To me this means that it gives the product a chance to continue to work into the hair and skin even after it has dried.
Final Thoughts
Myst has something really special. I had never experienced a lineament bath bomb before, and honestly I think it is genius. I love the idea of being able to give my pony a relaxing bath that helps her whole body. It is not made of harsh chemicals and it is easy to apply and work into the body. It would love be awesome if I could get my hands on this product on a regular basis. After a long ride, this definitely helped my 21 year old mare cool down and relax at the end of our day.
This was an AMAZING Cavali Club addition and I am so happy I finally had the opportunity to try it this summer. I hope to see this in future boxes!
Always get back on,
Love Tess
